New
Software to run the practice makes it easier for patients to understand
there bills insurance portions. Move from Dentrix to Practice-Web
Dental Software yields faster payment from insurance companies with
more understanding of the benefits. Answers to common questions and other helpful insights
December
1, 2008 our staff took on the monumentous task of convertered from
Dentrix an older platform computer data base to a newer more efficient,
secure and company that ensures growth in the right direction. A
large company purchased Dentrix a few years ago and the service has not
been what it was prior to the purchase. The new program,
Practice-Web is simpler, more direct, faster and the reports and bills
are easier for staff and patients to understand.
Insurance
Database research for Inusrance plans and verification of patient's
employer status is still accomplished with Trojan services.
Trojan links to our Practice-Web software in a direct fashion
since Practice Web is open source written programing code. This
feature allows Trojan to easily interface with our new software.
More detail is provided to our staff about your individual
insurance plans. This helps us estimate more accurately and help
you save money.
Direct Connect processing of Insurance
claims over the internet speeds the information. For e.g. MetLife
insurance can have a real time response with an inquiry about two
different treatment plans that are presented while the patient is
comfortably waiting in the chair. Real Time response is about 3 -
5 min or less. I hope Deltal Dental does this too.
NEA
attachments are another company that work directly with Direct Connect
and Practice-Web to attach X rays, pictures, charting information and
supporting documentation that otherwise would have to be sent by mail.
Again, the payment of insurace claims is cut in half from using
this forum as compared to regular US Postal Mail.
Apteryx and
Suni provide software and sensors to keep radiation exposure to a
minimum. Dr. Conway wants to assure that we have the latest x ray
equipment and the staff is trained to safely take minimal dental X
rays. These software packages facilitate sending x rays to other
dentists for help in diagnosing, and colaboration of complex treatment
plans. What this means for you patients is that you receive the
best treatment you can receive. Referal to specialist have the x
rays in hand and at a perfect clarity for their use to diagnose and not
have to retake x rays. Dr. Conway is working together with other
professionals to provide you with the best care possible.
Thank
you to Practice Web technical staff. They mentioned that out of
all the conversions they have never seen any dental practice use such
detail in the way we use the detnal software and the care in our
descriptions of procedures and notes.We take this observation as an
objective compliment comparing us to other practices. They
complimented us on or accuracy and detail with regards to notes and
accounting. My staff prides itself as caring enough to make
sure we do the very best we can for our patients and document
accurately everthing to can help provide a better result in

Layers and layer of security to
keep your data safe. It is more difficult for the staff to
utilize these techniques, but again keeping information safe for
patients is a major concern of Dr. Conway's.
New phone systemt is coming in the next 5 months.
